Block The Bombs Webinar | July 22, 2025

On July 18, 2025, the IMEU Policy Project along with AFSC hosted a discussion on U.S. complicity in Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza and the unprecedented push in Congress to stop it.

The webinar featured Rep. Delia Ramirez, who introduced H.R. 3565, the Block the Bombs Act, the first bill in U.S. history to proactively block major weapons to Israel. She was joined by Mahmoud Khalil, a Palestinian rights advocate and Columbia University graduate who was detained for over 100 days without charge for his activism.

Pedro Ríos of the American Friends Service Committee and Brad Parker of the Center for Constitutional Rights also joined to provide critical policy analysis and tools for action.

Together, they explored how grassroots pressure is reshaping the U.S. policy landscape, and how you can take part.
