New Poll: 84% Of Voters Support Van Hollen Resolution To Investigate Israel’s Killing Of US Citizens
Polling released Thursday, September 24, by IMEU Policy Project and conducted by Data For Progress found that US voters overwhelmingly support a new resolution from Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), backed by 23 senators, to invoke Section 502b of the Foreign Assistance Act to force a vote requesting a State Department review of Israel’s actions in the West Bank.
84% of all voters, including 83% of Democrats and 82% of Republicans, support a State Department review of cases where US citizens are believed to have been harmed or killed by Israel’s military or Israeli settlers. 72% of all voters, including 75% of Democrats and 65% of Republicans, support the resolution’s demand for a review of Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. The polling sampled over 1,202 voters from September 17-21 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.
